Frequently Asked Questions
QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Q: How do I book you for our date?
A: All bookings are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, and I recommend a brief meeting to get to know you and answer any of your questions. This can be accomplished in person, by phone, Zoom, or Skype. Once I receive the signed contract and a 50% deposit, the date is yours!
Q: Do you work with a second photographer?
A: Yes, while I pledge to be at every event, I often also bring a qualified second photographer. This is a great way to cover multiple angles and move more efficiently with lights and heavy equipment.
Q: I am confused, are you in Florida or North Carolina?
A: Both! I go back and forth between our places in the mountains of North Carolina and the seaside town of St. Augustine. Depending on my schedule and the season, I accommodate clients in these two fantastic spots.
Q: Do I get the negatives & copyrights?
A: Every complete wedding package I offer includes high-resolution digital files in a gallery for download. Portrait sessions include a select number of digital files, and additional files can be purchased à la carte.
Q: Do you have a backup camera?
A: Yes! I usually arrive with at least three high-end pro-DSLR cameras, several lights, flashes, lenses, and whatever my second photographer brings.
Q: How soon will I receive the proofs?
A: Because I spend many hours perfecting the images, they are usually ready in about four to six weeks. However, I strive to provide highlights within a few days of the event!
Q: How long do you save the files?
A: All images are stored on RAID drives for longevity and safety. They are also backed up on remote (cloud) servers in two other states in case of natural disasters. They will be carefully guarded for years to come.
Q: What locations do you cover?
A: While I am more than happy to cover events worldwide, I typically serve clients here in Western North Carolina within a two-hour radius of our studio just north of Weaverville, NC, without charging additional travel fees. I also serve clients in my hometown of St. Augustine, Florida, without travel fees, because I love the Oldest City and I get to visit family and friends.
So in a nutshell:
WNC: Greater Asheville, NC, including: Mars Hill, Marshall, Burnsville, Spruce Pine, Weaverville, Waynesville, Sylva, Maggie Valley, Canton, Brevard, Mills River, Hendersonville, Flat Rock, Bat Cave, Lake Lure, Old Fort, and Black Mountain.
NEFL: St. Augustine, Ponte Vedra, Crescent Beach, Jacksonville, Amelia Island, Daytona, Palm Coast, Green Cove Springs, Sanford, Deland
If your event venue is a bit further out, I might add a small travel fee, but I love exploring new places, so please let me know!
Q: Can you do both wedding photography and videography for me?
A: YES! I will happily cover both photo and video, along with my team!
